Waste management internship - Precious plastic reycling machine in Perhentian Islands

If you’re passionate about product design with recycled materials then this internship is perfect for you!

The Role

Fuze Ecoteer produces items such as dive slates, coasters and soon stationery from plastic removed from beaches, rivers and the sea.  The aim of this role is to help develop new products suitable to be sold but also to design products for other organisations for example door handles, elephant coasters, hangers for sandals etc. The role will also involve significant market research for the new products.
We would also want to develop simple litter traps to go in various sized drains.

 Requirements

  • Skilled in CAD Design.
  • Able to write well in english.
  • Highly organised and ability to work to a schedule.
  • Design abilities
  • Comfortable working independently and remotely.
  • Efficient time management skills and able to meet deadlines.
  • Good attention to detail.

Key duties and responsibilities

  • Organise and lead market research sessions to understand the issues that zero waste people have so you can design products suitable to their needs.

    ■ Through market research develop new products which can be made using the precious plastic machines – knowing what can and cant be made.

    ■ Creating 3D models of products and conducting product specific market research.

    ■ Redesign of the product after feedback.

    ■  Write reports of your work
