Fuze Ecoteer is a social enterprise working with partners towards a Zero Waste Model in Kg Sg Penchala and TTDI. We are looking to accelerate its start up UPCYCLED by FE project in TTDI and Kg Sg Penchala. This is a very exciting time to join us as you would lead the project as we look to reduce the waste issues in Kg Sg Penchala. We collect discarded plastic from the rivers and drains and recycle them into products – we have an injection machine and also an extrusion machine pro. We make small items and can now start to make larger items like benches, tables and chairs.
This role will focus on tackling the waste issues of Kg Sg Penchala and you will manage daily paid recyclers and interns.
This is an exciting opportunity for people who want to tackle the plastic issues in Malaysia with a focus on the Kayu Ara River at Kg Sg Penchala, the head of the Kayu Ara River.
Getting your hands dirty picking up litter from the Kayu Ara River and her banks.
■ Organising clean ups with local groups, schools, companies etc
■ Cleaning, sorting and shredding the items we find but then train and manage daily paid workers from the local communities.
■ Overseeing production but also making items with the machines when needed. Working with the machines requires alot of strengt
■ Organising a daily house to house recycling schedule in Kg Sg Penchala. We will provide the villagers with RM1 per KG of plastic.
■ Working with the cleaners to provide them additional income for collecting plastics on the street. We will provide them with Rm3 per KG of plastic.
■ Designing and fabricating new items such as litter traps and larger items like signage, benches and chairs etc
■ Excellent communication skills.
■ PASSION and DEDICATION to reduce waste plastic issues.
■ Ability to think creatively and innovatively to solve problems.
■ Able to work in person in TTDI, KL on a daily basis.
■ Have your own Malaysian drivers lisence
■ Be comfortable speaking in BM.
■ Highly organised and ability to work to a schedule.
■ Design abilities
- RM1,500 base wage with production commission structure for you making items and for your team making items. Currently 200 coasters and 100 pots are sold a month so potential to earn Rm300/400 in commission each month.
