The Role

Upcycled by Fuze Ecoteer, a project under the pioneering social enterprise Fuze Ecoteer, is dedicated to increase recycling rates in PPR Lembah Subang, located on the banks of Kayu Ara River. Our aim is to develop environmental stewardship within the communities of PPR Lembah Subang through precious plastic business models. As such, Upcycled by FE is seeking for a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join us as the Project Leader. This is an exceptional opportunity to take the lead in an impactful project with an established community group already working with our precious plastic machines. 

As the project leader, you will be responsible for the day to day admin and operations of upcycled alongside our community champions.  We are now looking to go to the next level.  This is perfect for people with a passion to fight for the plastic problem and who are detailed and process orientated, so our impact can be scaled.

 Key Duties And Responsibilities

  1. Improving and keeping up to date the current SOPs for the operations at Lembah Subang.
  2. Updating the Project Management System (PMS) to ensure the project keeps to its business and community goals and KPIs. 
  3. Developing strategies and ideas to increase the sales for Upcycled to be shared with others and then added into the PMS for execution.
  4. Coordinate clean-up initiatives with local groups, schools, companies, and other relevant stakeholders to actively engage the community in waste reduction efforts.
  5. Assist the community champions in day-to-day operational issues, helping to ensure a smooth project implementation.
  6. Sourcing grants.
  7. Manage marketing for upcycled.
  8. Hire and manage interns to help with marketing and social media.
  9. Local stakeholder management, including community members at Lembah Subang PPR to highlight and develop eco-education and awareness projects.
  10. Communicate effectively with team members, stakeholders, and the wider community to raise awareness and foster a sense of shared responsibility toward waste reduction.

Personal Specification

  1. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders and convey the mission and objectives of the project.
  2. Demonstrated passion and dedication to reducing waste plastic issues and contributing to environmental conservation efforts.
  3. Ability to think creatively and innovatively to identify and implement effective solutions to waste management challenges.
  4. Willingness to work on-site in the Klang Valley, specifically PPR Lembah subang, ensuring close proximity to project operations.
  5. Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks and work within defined timelines by developing Gantt charts and schedules. 


  1. Base allowance of RM1,800 per month base.
  2. EPF Socso etc
  3. Accident at work insurance
  4. Commission of RM250/RM200 per day for group facilitation during events – fee depends on responsibility.
  5. Sales commission on products sold.
  6. Sales commission on sales generated.
