Marketing and Sales leader

Fuze Ecoteer (FE) leads conservation projects as well as service and adventure programmes for individuals, schools, universities and corporate groups. As the Sales and Marketing leader, you will be responsible for leading the planning and execution of the sales and marketing strategies for Fuze Ecoteer’s programmes.

The position requires an organised, attention-to-detail individual who can help promote our programmes online and offline through liaising with potential clients. We run projects in Perhentian and service and adventure programmes all over Malaysia, each programme sizes vary from 15 to 400 participants.

There are 2 aspects to this role, you will be based in KL and work remotely with some trips going to-site to collect content for social media. 

Online
Social Media, this is managing and building upon the FE social media and photos and video database.  The other aspect involves increasing Fuze Ecoteer’s digital presence on other websites – articles, agents, blog partnerships etc.  Your target is to increase the inquiries going to the Fuze Ecoteer and associated websites – www.fuze-ecoteer.com, www.perhentianturtleproject.org, https://www.upcycledbyfe.com/ and https://www.marineresearchstation.org/

 

Offline
Offline aspect of the role involves non digital marketing for example building relations with clients in person, interviews on radio etc as well as proposal making and sales.

 

Key Duties

Online

Social Media – ONLY FUZE ECOTEER not project specific social media

  • Plan content for social media using a calendar and following international days
  • Post 3 weekly social media posts for FE  – FB, Insta, LinkedIN and Tik Tok
  • Take and collect new content 
  • Manage the FE videos and photos.

Increasing FE Digital Presence

  • Develop a marketing strategy PPMS.
  • Improve offsite seo.
  • Write to websites to seek collaborations – ie blog posts, competitions, articles, videos.
  • Re-establish the FE Monthly Newsletter.
  • Develop new ways to increase the number of inquiries for FE.
  • Increase FE agent network for international volunteers.
  • Monthly reporting on traffic and leads generated.
  • Increase review submissions.

Offline

  • Plan and organise a series of talks at schools/universities to share to the students about our causes and how they can get involved.
  • Plan and Organise talks on radio or elsewhere about our causes.
  • Brainstorm and action other ways to get the message out about our causes to the offline community.
  • Developing proposals for clients and liaising with them.

Personal Specifications

  • A fun outgoing person who wants to interact with people from differing backgrounds.
  • A passion for community and conservation issues and research.
  • Fluent or a desire to be fluent in written and spoken English and/or Bahasa Malaysia.
  • Excellent communication and organisation skills.
  • Knowledge of digital marketing is an advantage but not essential.
  • Knowledge of WordPress and Wix website builders.
  • Knowledge of SEO and google web tools are an advantage but not essential.
  • High level of organization and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Competent in using Microsoft Office.
  • A flexible and adaptive approach.

Benefits

RM1,800 per month + EPF, Socso etc – Rm2,200 after 2 years.
Commissions on group sales.

Daily rate whilst on course.
RM250 per day – course director
RM200 per day – group leader
5% of profit for sales of groups led by you,
RM500 annual training allowance
RM250 annual medical claim
Full accident insurance 

 Duration

  • 2 year contract – 1st Feb 2024 to 31st Dec 2025.
