Perhentian Photography & Videography internship

The Photography and Videography Intern will be based in the Perhentian Islands and work alongside the three projects.  You will be helping to document the activities of the projects through photography and videography.  The teams are equally passionate about conservation, helping them to raise awareness and promoting their amazing programmes. You will be based in the Perhentian Islands but will travel around Peninsular Malaysia when needed.

Key Duties

• Report to the Social Media Manager based in KL but also work closely with the Perhentian teams.
• Assist in designing and present new social media campaign ideas.
• Assist in social media platforms for trending news, ideas, and feedback.
• Assist with the planning and hosting of marketing events, if any.
• Assist with facilitating groups programmes esp with regards to photography and Videography.
• Managing videos and photos not just for social media but also for general sales and marketing needs.
• Research and evaluate competitor marketing and digital content.
• Provide adequate notice of any travel needed whether work-related or personal.
• Ensure a good level of communication between yourself and the project managers at all times.
• All photos and footage whilst taken during the internship must be shared with Fuze Ecoteer as co-owners with yourself.

General Requirements

• Strong interest in conservation and have a marketing background.
• Familiarity with marketing computer software and social media platforms.
• Strong Photography and videography skills
• Your own equipment for photography and editing
• Good understanding of the latest marketing trends and techniques.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Must have a passion for marketing.
• Outstanding multitasking abilities.
• Must display a professional example to villagers, volunteers and colleagues at all times.
• Must adhere to all safety measures, protocols and procedures as directed by Fuze Ecoteer.
• International interns must pay a deposit of UKP100 which is refunded upon the successful completion of your internship.
